multi-masking

i got a call from a certain joe from the IT department, he says our supervisor jackie is wanting to speak to me. after two unsuccessful attempts of transferring me to her extension, i decide to ring her myself.

she congratulates me on having been accepted for the apprentice and tells me we have a four hour training tomorrow starting at 10 am. i tell her i have my spanish class at 9, and that it kind of conflicts with the sched. she tells me it’s ok, that i’d still be an apprentice and help out but i wouldn’t be able to assist during nesting, which is sort of like soon with a capital s. i tell her it’s fine, that if class still doesn’t push through tomorrow, i’ll try to attend. and surprise, surprise, she says she’ll still include me in the list so that if i could attend tomorrow, i’ll still be in the list of trainees.

i badly want to help out in nesting, but i’ve got my life mapped out for the next few months. which leads to: i’m really excited with learning spanish!Ãœ i’d already bought this book with spanish words and phrases, kind of like a survival guide thing. my personal favorite is:

venis a tomar una cerveza?

which translates to: are you guys coming for a beer?Ü
