The elders here at home were watching PGMA’s State of the Nation address on TV. I ignore it and go straight to the kitchen to get some food.

My dear aunt Tita B follows me and makes small talk regarding the SONA. For the longest time, I’ve been an “atheist” when it comes to politics — forgive me for the lack of a better term, so I tell her I don’t really care. She asks if I’m anti-PGMA. I tell her it’s not really “anti-PGMA”, it’s just that I don’t really care when it comes to politics because I think they’re all the same.

While heaping food onto my bowl, I realize I do have a coupla things to thank PGMA for, just for today:

1. Most of my student friends have suspended classes, meaning they have time to finish their homework/projects/whatnots.
2. Since today is a special working holiday, we’ll be getting an extra 30% premium on top of our regular pay. (I know, I know, it’ll only be a few hours since we all take the night shift but hey, beggars can’t be choosy. A few extra bucks is still a few extra bucks. Ahahaha.)

So today, I’m thinking of making myself a little more grateful towards PGMA.

Just for today. ^^
