Today at 3:18 AM, the former president has succumbed to cardiac arrest, after a 16-month-long battle with colon cancer. I am greatly saddened by this but somehow feel happy that she can finally rest in peace. No more pain, no more suffering.

I want to think of this as a new chapter in her [after]life. Not only will she be joining our Creator, she will finally be reunited with her deceased husband Ninoy.

Bon voyage, Tita Cory. You will definitely be missed, but you will remain alive in the hearts and minds of those who love you.
