C.N. Blue stands for Code Name Blue. I don’t really get it though. But Yonghwa says, and I quote: “It sounds cool, don’t you think?”
Wanna introduce you to the rest of C.N. Blue:

Jonghyun was the former leader of the group. Well, Yonghwa’s my favorite, but I honestly didn’t feel the need to change the leader to Yonghwa. I think Jonghyun did a pretty great job with the band back in Japan, even without Yonghwa (he was in Korea shooting “You’re Beautiful”). I can just imagine the pressure of squeezing four roles into three — but Jonghyun was able to help his bandmates wing it. I’m not really sure what F&C (management company handling C.N. Blue, and yes, the already-famous FT Island) had in mind, but I’m sure they had a good talk with Jonghyun and the other members about it. Anyways, back to Jonghyun, he rarely smiles, and when he does, I feel like I’ve struck a gold mine. He needs to smile more often. ^^
Minhyuk — oh, jeong mal keopta! ^^ He looks really babyish, although I’m pretty sure he’s not the youngest (I think Jungshin’s the maknae in the band). And he does know how to play the drums!!!

He’s really adorable during their performances. I love the way he sings along even while drumming; there are times when he just sings “tah-tah-tah” in synchrony to the drumbeat. Sooooo sexy.
Jungshin strikes me as a baaaad boy underneath a quiet guise. I admit that I was definitely intrigued when he said during a radio interview that he never lasts 100 days in a relationship because he gets tired of women easily. Hah! My heart hammers wildly when the camera focuses on him. He acknowledges the camera by raising his eyebrow ever so slightly. Eeek!!!
Haha, Yonghwa also has these cute flirty faces he makes at the camera. My knees turn to jelly everytime he does that, especially when he does that little pointy finger shake at “mam molla” in the chorus for “Oetoriya”.

I did mention a few paragraphs earlier that C.N. Blue first debuted in Japan. Well, the reason is this — the band would only be allowed to debut in Korea after having completed a certain number of hours (200? I can’t seem to remember) worth of performance at Japan. Yeah, it’s like OJT or something. C.N. Blue has even gone as far as performing in the streets of Japan. That’s one of the biggest reasons I’m so proud of them. Yonghwa said they even spent a night in jail for that, having been mistaken as illegal immigrants. It would’ve sucked back in the day, but I’m sure that would make their success taste sweeter now that they’ve gotten a lot of positive feedback regarding their Korean debut.
Their music is addictive. Their 2 Japanese albums are in English, save for one Japanese song on their second mini-album. Yonghwa even introduced me to the word “compunction” — if it weren’t for the song “Just Please” which he wrote, I would never have found out that such a word existed. But now that their album release have some of their English songs in Korean, I’m not really sure which version I like. I do love the fact that they’re able to sing in almost-fluent English, but there’s something about them singing in their native tongue that drives me even crazier about them.
Here are three more of their songs, this time from their second mini-album:
One of a Kind – best song I’ve heard from them so far ^^
Y, Why – Yonghwa co-wrote this. Some of the lyrics don’t make much sense but you won’t notice that unless you see the lyric sheet. The vocals are beautifully sung, the music well-played.
Never Too Late – Jonghyun co-wrote this song. It’s kinda soothing to the ears despite the fast beat, imo.
For someone who’s eagerly and anxiously anticipated their debut for months, I’m thrilled to say that C.N. Blue has taken South Korea by storm for bringing something fresh to the Korean music scene. I’m hoping that they’ll maintain (if not increase) their level of success even after releasing several albums.
Ooh, before I go, I found this interesting number of theirs at Shibuya. Only goes to show how great of a leader Jonghyun is to have them sound as good as this even with one member lacking. Oh, Yonghwa-ssi, I’m sorry. You know I love you, guess I’ll just have to wait and see how well you’ll be able to lead your bandmates.

I totally agree w/you that there was no need to change leaders unless he got himself into trouble j/k I believe that he had a heavy load to carry when he had to lead the 3-member group and sing all the songs during their activities in Japan and I too believe he did an excellent job at that after watching their live shows. I was actually upset to learn of this change, no offense to YH. I hope he smiles more too because he has a beautiful smile
I love that “One of a Kind” performance, they sounded so great even if it was just the three of them. His guitar solo was…
Haha YH loves the camera and it feels the same way. I’d love it if the camera focuses on the other members though. I couldn’t believe about them spending time in jail…awww!!! And that confession by Jung Shin…which radio show was that info from? Anyways, I enjoyed reading this entry!

Hello! So sweet of you to comment on my post. ^^ Thanks, I’m glad you had fun reading it. I’m soooo in love with this band (not just Yonghwa, although I admit I wouldn’t have discovered them if it weren’t for him, lolz — and I’m not going to deny that I do have a Yonghwa bias, although I’m starting to waver the more I see of Jungshin, Jonghyun, and Minhyuk).
About the Jungshin confession, it was on SBS Radio. I think that’s their only radio appearance to date since they’ve debuted, but please correct me if I’m wrong. ^^
Regarding Yonghwa’s new niche as band leader, I’m sure FNC had a good talk with CN Blue about it. I’ve been read one fan comment that she’s observed some amount of tension during that radio guesting of theirs because Yonghwa’s doing most of the talking. For the life of me, I’ve really wondered if the change was necessary, but I’m pretty confident that the three, especially Jonghyun, are open-minded about things. I’m just praying that this isn’t a bad move on FNC’s part. I’m feeling bad already thinking of how the Japanese fans are probably reacting to this. T_T Ah, the Yonghwa bias is coming out.
And yeah, don’t you just love Jonghyun’s smile? I really do wish FNC realizes soon that the world needs to see more of Jonghyun, Minhyuk, and Jungshin. I for one am craving for more of them!!!
Fight-O C.N. Blue!
Thanks again for dropping by

Haha, I’ve noticed your JH bias, and it’s okay, to each her own. Although I’ve been wavering a bit lately the more I get to know the other key guys of C.N. Blue. I agree about JH’s voice, talent, and that charming smile he seldom shows the world. Well, yeah, I do love the YH camera time but that only makes me even more intrigued about the others. I wanna see them shine too. ^^
Hmm, I’m pretty sure the fan meant tension between the members, specifically YH and JH, but I really didn’t see that when I watched the entire video of that radio show. To me it seemed like the three were tense because this was their first time as opposed to YH who’s done a lot of interviews for YB. So yeah, you’re most likely right about YH just trying to fill in for them. I’m thinking of the same thing.
I know, I thought it was cute that both FNC leaders had the same name and same level of popularity — I don’t mean it in a bad way. I’m just a recently converted primadonna, but I gathered as much that Hongki is the most popular member (or is he? Hahaha) but he’s not the leader. And it’s not the first time I’ve heard of things like that. SNSD has Taeyeon, but male stars (Lee Seungki and Jungshin included, my poor heart T_T) have been picking out Yoona as their celebrity crush or ideal girl. Stuff like that.
Ooh, I’ll check on your cover ^^ I’m sure it’s worth listening too. Thanks for keeping in touch. Nothing beats a worthwhile conversation with another fan.
Feel free to drop by anytime too! ^^
Can’t wait to see more of C.N. Blue. I think Music Bank’s going to be a constant Friday ritual, I’m soooo thankful we finally have our digital box. Ooh, and Yonghwa AND Minhyuk (yayayay) are going to be on Star Golden Bell, I hear. I can’t wait for that episode… Counting the days
PS: I had to ditch a trip to Korea because of the following:
1. Expired passport
2. You’re Beautiful Director’s Cut DVD Boxset
3. C.N. Blue albums
4. FTi showcase
5, Super Junior Supershow 2
but if C.N. Blue’s going to have a major live going on soon, I might just move heaven and earth to be there in a heartbeat. Ugh. *lol* Scary, friggin’ scary.

Deym I watched that radio show unsubbed. Need to watch the subbed version. Will do over the weekend. Haha,
at you getting “annoyed” at the DJ’s asking YH almost every question. I have to admit though, I was amused at his reaction (embarrassment? discomfort) at hearing his “Shinwoo” lines from YB. Hahahahaha.
The digibox was from Sky Cable. Our old plan was for Sun Cable, but since I think they were absorbed by Sky, all we had to do was to upgrade formally to Sky Silver (the lowest, I think) so that instead of the P680 we used to pay for Sun, we’re going to pay the P780 and then they’ll schedule a tech to be dispatched for the digibox. It’s fast becoming my favorite channel. My sister has been laughing at me for even watching the news at that channel. Hahaha.
You’re lucky you’re in Canada, no need for a VISA. Waah. I’m really hoping either the SuJu concert doesn’t push through or for CN Blue not to have an Asian tour (aren’t I selfish *evil laugh*), whichever works because I can’t handle not being able to go to a major CN Blue event!!!
But if you go to Korea and see them, take lots of pics for me
especially YONGHWA. Kidding. :p
Take care!

PS: Oh but I think Yonghwa got sulky at Hongki’s comment that FTi’s edge over CN Blue is their good skin right? hahaha. I practically lmao’d at that
