Reposting from my Facebook profile… I wrote this February 10th last year:
She would’ve been born around October. She would’ve been three this year.
She would’ve gotten her father’s eyes and nose. She would’ve inherited her mother’s smile. Hopefully, not the double chin. Her hair would be undeniably wavy, if not curly.
She would’ve been there at Meg’s 7th birthday party and cry with envy over the pocket puppies. She would’ve had a blast with Meg, Marco, Brea, and Chloe in Bataan. She would’ve worn an authentic Haruhi Suzumiya costume last Halloween.
She would echo playfully whenever she hears her mother say “Aja!” and know what it means as well. She would probably wrinkle her nose whenever she smells kimchi, but since she loves the taste, she would eat it with her hand over her nose.
She would’ve been a Starbucks baby. She would be addicted to caramel waffles and after-coffee mints and would pester Mommy to buy her Starbucks trinkets every now and then.
She would’ve been mature enough to understand that she has a Daddy but he couldn’t be with them. And because she would be well-loved by Mommy, Lola, and Tita, she would wonder at times how he’s doing, but she wouldn’t miss him that much. She would imagine how his voice would sound, but she wouldn’t yearn to hear it. She would appreciate everything she has that Mommy has given her, so she wouldn’t search for her Daddy in vain.
She would recall how Mommy cries whenever she’s a bad little girl, feeling the pressure of having to discipline her alone, and from then on, she would’ve been an angel so that Mommy wouldn’t have to cry again.
It would’ve been great if she was alive – she would’ve kissed and hugged Mommy tight on Valentine’s and say: “It’s OK if Daddy’s not with us. You love Bea, and Bea loves Mommy. That’s all we need.”

I’ve been thinking of her earlier today and remembered this post, hence I ripped it and put it here.
Aww Bea, if you were here, I’m sure you’re also now a “You’re Beautiful” fanatic. And we would be both watching the FT Island showcase on March 6th, because no doubt, you’d fall in love with Lee Hongki’s Jeremy character.
I can only hope you’re having a big “Happy 4th Birthday” party wherever you are. And don’t worry too much about Mommy, she’s somehow doing much much better. But don’t forget to watch over your grandparents and your aunt, okay?
I love you, baby.
Saengil chukahae!
